Senior Financial Management AnalystCSCI Consulting is seeking a Senior Financial Management Analyst to provide financial reporting, trading partner reconciliation, and intragovernmental transaction support for a Department of War (DoW / DoD) client located at the Pentagon. The ideal candidate will support the analysis, validation, reconciliation, and reporting of financial data across multiple DoW organizations and systems. This position requires expertise in intragovernmental transactions, trading partner eliminations, buyer and seller-side transaction analysis, financial statement support, and federal financial management requirements. The candidate will work directly with government stakeholders to improve data quality, resolve reconciliation variances, strengthen audit readiness, and support accurate financial reporting.ResponsibilitiesSupport preparation, review, and analysis of DoW financial reports and financial statement dataValidate financial information for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal accounting requirementsAnalyze trial balance activity, financial statement line items, and supporting schedulesAssist with quarterly and annual financial reporting activitiesPerform buyer-side and seller-side trading partner reconciliationsAnalyze intragovernmental transactions to identify reporting discrepancies between federal entitiesResearch and resolve unmatched balances, abnormal conditions, and data integrity issuesCoordinate resolution efforts with financial management offices, DFAS personnel, and other DoW componentsSupport reconciliation and elimination of intragovernmental balances and activitiesConduct detailed analyses of trading partner reporting data and supporting transactionsReview and validate reciprocal category informationDevelop recommendations to improve reconciliation processes and reporting accuracyCollaborate with DoW financial management organizations, accounting offices, system owners, and program stakeholdersPresent reconciliation results, risks, and recommendations to client leadershipParticipate in working groups, meetings, and reporting reviews supporting financial statement accuracyMinimum RequirementsActive Top Secret Security ClearanceBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related disciplineMinimum 8-10 years of experience supporting federal financial management programsDemonstrated experience supporting Department of War financial management operationsExperience performing trading partner reconciliations and intragovernmental transaction analysisExperience analyzing buyer-side and seller-side financial dataExperience supporting federal financial reporting and financial statement preparationExperience researching and resolving financial data discrepancies, variances, and reconciliation issuesExperience supporting audit readiness, internal controls, or financial statement auditsCreativity and adaptability in problem-solvingAbility to work with clients to understand their needsStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional presencePreferred SkillsCertified Public Accountant (CPA)Experience supporting OUSD(C), DFAS, Army, Navy, or Air ForceExperience with USSGL, GTAS, Treasury reporting, or SFISExperience supporting audit remediation and financial statement compilationFamiliarity with ERP environments such as GFEBS, DAI, Navy ERP, DEAMS, or similar systemsAbility to work in a team environment, as well as independentlyStrong customer and vendor relationship skillsDemonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policiesMotivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate valueAbout CSCICSCI is an award-winning information technology and financial management consulting firm founded on one simple philosophy: "Do what is right, always."
