Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their emotional and psychological needs to tailor interventions effectively.

• Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions focusing on themes of aging, such as coping with loss, adjusting to retirement, and managing health changes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that counseling strategies align with medical treatments and support services.

• Provide psychoeducation to families and staff about the mental health challenges facing seniors, improving understanding and support systems around elderly clients.

• Offer specialized grief and loss counseling, helping clients and their families address and navigate end-of-life issues in a compassionate manner.

• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client interactions thoroughly and maintain compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.

In this role, you will primarily serve a geriatric population, offering vital mental health support for seniors dealing with age-related issues, including depression, anxiety, and grief. This population often experiences unique emotional challenges stemming from significant life changes such as the loss of loved ones, health complications, and transitions in living situations. Qualifications\n

• Possession of a Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 85,000 to $100,000 annually, dependent on experience and hours worked.
