Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary-aged students for the full school year through mid-June. This role focuses on helping young learners thrive through targeted speech-language services in a friendly, collaborative environment near Cheney, WA. You’ll join a dedicated team, working alongside two experienced SLP colleagues serving specialized Autism/IDD classrooms, plus supporting three preschool classrooms in a dynamic school with a population of nearly 600 students.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Active credential as an SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist), SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY; open to those pursuing Clinical Fellowship Year
- Experience with or interest in school-based settings; consideration for SLPA candidates with relevant school or healthcare backgrounds
- Comfort working with elementary ages, including preschool and specialized Autism/IDD populations
- Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and therapy documentation
- Strong communication skills and an inclusive, team-focused outlook
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to assigned students, including assessments, direct therapy, and collaboration in IEP meetings
- Participate in the development, implementation, and review of IEPs for students on the caseload
- Collaborate closely with two SLP colleagues, as well as other school staff and families, to promote student growth
- Adapt interventions and approaches to meet diverse student needs, with sensitivity to disabilities and learning differences
- Track student progress, maintain records, and provide timely documentation
