Inside Sales Representative

The Automotive Inside Sales Representative provides commercial support for assigned automotive OEM accounts by coordinating quotations, managing customer communications, processing commercial requests, and supporting new business opportunities. Working closely with Account Managers, engineering, program management, and operations, this role serves as a key point of contact for OEM purchasing and engineering teams to ensure timely responses, accurate pricing, and exceptional customer service throughout the product lifecycle. The successful candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and experienced in the fast-paced automotive environment, with an understanding of OEM purchasing processes and Tier 1 supplier operations. Responsibilities Support Account Managers in managing assigned automotive OEM customer accounts. Prepare, coordinate, and submit Requests for Quotation (RFQs), pricing proposals, and commercial documentation. Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, finance, and program management to develop accurate quotations and cost estimates. Maintain customer pricing files, contracts, commercial agreements, and sales documentation. Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for customer inquiries regarding pricing, order status, engineering changes, and commercial requests. Process customer purchase orders, pricing updates, and engineering change notices (ECNs) while ensuring system accuracy. Track quotation activity, business awards, sales forecasts, and commercial metrics. Assist with annual price negotiations, cost recovery initiatives, and productivity agreements. Coordinate customer meetings, presentations, and business reviews with internal sales and management teams. Support new product launches by coordinating commercial activities across cross-functional teams. Generate sales reports, revenue forecasts, pipeline updates, and management presentations. Work proactively to resolve customer issues related to delivery, quality, pricing, and order fulfillment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred. 2-5 years of inside sales, customer service, sales support, or commercial experience within the automotive industry. Experience working for a Tier 1 automotive supplier supporting automotive OEM customers preferred.
