Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable healthcare professional to provide essential in-home support to clients who need assistance with daily living activities. In this role, you will help promote comfort, safety, dignity, and independence while delivering care in accordance with each client’s individualized plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Support mobility, transfers, positioning, and safe ambulation as needed
• Provide assistance with meals, light meal preparation, and hydration reminders
• Monitor and report changes in client condition, behavior, or environment to the appropriate supervisor
• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the client’s care and safety
• Follow care plans, agency policies, infection control standards, and safety procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and observations made during visits
• Respect client privacy, confidentiality, and personal preferences at all times
• Work collaboratively with families, care teams, and supervisors to support quality care

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Home Health Aide or equivalent credential, as required by state or agency guidelines
• Experience providing personal care or supportive in-home services preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and observation skills
• Ability to follow care instructions and work independently with professionalism
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to client care
• Ability to lift, move, and assist clients in a safe and appropriate manner, in accordance with policy and training
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes as scheduled
• Ability to pass required background checks, screenings, and any other agency-specific requirements
