Manages plans, organizes and directs the security activities of teams to ensure compliance and efficiency.Develops and maintains strong relationships with the customer and airport staff. Adheres to and promotes ACTS commitment to quality of service, compliance with customer specifications and government agency regulations and focus on safety in the work environment.Represents the Site Director during afterhours activities.Accountable for operational and compliance performance of all employees during his/her shift.Defines staffing schedule, manages labor hours to that schedule, works with the scheduler to ensure that the schedule is fully staffed and manages to overtime targets.Implements the ACTS safety program.Oversees and continually develops security staff to include supervisors and guards.Submits shift reports to the Site Director.Enforces disciplinary actionsProvides coaching, development and performance reviews to subordinate Supervisors and guards.Ensures and maintains all security related records as indicated by the Customer, TSA, and other Governmental entities.First point of contact during a shift in addressing compliance issues raised by customers or TSA, preparing incident reports that ensure problems addressed and reports to the site director.Bachelor's Degree in Aviation on Management, Security Management or closely related field.Five (5) years of aviation/security management or similar experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degreeMust have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in the security or similar field including one (1) year of experience at a Title 49 CFR Part 1542, regulated airport and a thorough understanding of the operations requirements of each post that will be serviced under the requirements of this AgreementExperience managing in a union environmentPreferred, but not required: Federal security experience, i.e. TSA.o Experience in the airline/airport industry.o Security experience, i.e. law enforcement, military police, corporate security, etc.Have sound judgment and integrity managing a large team and have a sense of urgency to respond to personnel and client calls 24 hours a day :Excellent leadership and presentation skills.Strong PC computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with the Internet.Strong customer management and communication skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to communicate internally and externally with disparate groups.Employee must have a confirmed 10-year background check (10 year listed; 5 year verified employment history verification or FBI fingerprint check for SIDA applicant purposes).The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Airport Certified Employee (ACE) designation for Security is optional but preferredACTS is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
