This role requires precision, safety awareness, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm Technical JobRead work order, blueprints, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operation and setup requirementsPerform specialized manual Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) Operations on a wide range of similar and dissimilar alloysAbility to visually inspect weld and able to pass written practical examExamine weld for bead size and use weld gauges to determine weld acceptabilityPosition and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jig or fixturesSelect torch, torch tip, and filler rod, per WPS or Routing specificationsSelect and maintain consistent welding techniques and processes to ensure maximum weld strength and uniformityComprehend welding symbols terms and definitions per AWS A2.4 and AWS3.0Measure dimensions of finished part using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators, or check fixtureTrim, sand, and drill parts, fit and deburr product as requiredPerform daily/weekly maintenance on welding equipment/tools (oil, clean, and inspection)Accurately execute PCS (Process Control Sheets) and provide feedback when revisions are neededAssist Engineering with the implementation, creation, and maintenance of PCSDocument actions by completing production and quality logs as neededAccomplish organization goals by actively exploring opportunities to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. (SQDC)Train others by openly sharing information, knowledge, and expertise with the teamComplete job assignments as directed by Manufacturing ManagerAttend meetings, trainings, and participate in audits as directedSafetyMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsComply with all company rules including company safety policy and all federal, state, local, and other safety regulations and practicesUse personal protective equipment and devices provided for machinery, equipment, tools and processes, when defined in PCS, Company Safety Policy, Job Safety Analysis or Management directionReport all unsafe conditions, accidents and injuries immediately to managementHousekeepingActively participate in 6S and lean activities as outlined by the CompanyMaintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following Company instructionsMaintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needsStore and maintain tools, equipment and gauges as defined by company standardsKeep work area clean and organized to company standards/expectationsDaily cleaning and sweeping of work area, tools and equipmentEmpty trash and waste as neededPersonal items removed from workstationsWhat You'll BringHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) is requiredMinimum 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experienceCertified to groove weld and fillet weld on .060 to .500 thick stainless steel, Nickel Alloy, and cobalt alloy material per AWS D17.1Demonstrate a working knowledge of understanding blueprint requirements and ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)Forklift experience is preferredReliable transportationStrong interpersonal and problem-solving skillsAbility to effectively manage time, multi-task, and pay close attention to detailsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamCapable of following directionsTake responsibility for achieving production efficiency, quality of product and reports discrepant material immediatelyDemonstrate customer focus by seeking out, understanding, and responding to the needs of both internal and external customersMaintain a positive attitude and communicate openly and honestly with othersSolve problems proactively and contribute to continuously improving the process/productAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periodsComfortable working in environments with noise, heat, or dustRegularly required to move, sit, and bend for various hours throughout the dayEqual Opportunity Employer.
