Schedule

This position requires a Night 3x12-hour schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with occasional shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM. Coverage is needed up to every other weekend and holidays, but there is no call requirement.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care for patients across all age groups, including managing special care populations such as cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health challenges. Experience in STEMI and stroke facilities is essential, along with proficiency in using the EPIC charting system.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to a diverse patient population in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize advanced skills for managing care of critically ill and injured patients.
• Administer medications and perform interventions as per established protocols.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and provide timely interventions.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care and outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience is required.
• Active RN license must be in hand at the time of submission.
• Candidates must possess current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
• Experience with blood product administration and BiPAP/CPAP management is preferred.
• Travel experience is welcomed; prior charge experience is a plus.
