R&D Supervisor

This position is responsible for coordination and creation of all processing documents for manufacturing of Boars Head Products. The position will be required to maintain a database of all current and past formulation, batch sheets, process flows and historical data pertaining to Boars Head processing documents. A successful candidate will be a person of upmost integrity and have extensive understanding of the production of Boars Head products as well as background in Quality Assurance, Regulatory and Operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform and manage projects/tasks as assigned by R&D Manager and R&D Director.Organize and store all data and documentation as needed for tracking purposes, analytical review, and historical record keeping.Maintain database of highly sensitive information and ensure security of essential documents.Be able to understand formulation of all of Boars Heads products.Communicate effectively with Regulatory to ensure Regulatory compliance.Calculate restricted ingredients as well as nutritional requirements.Calculate formulas based on desired product attributes and within parameters of desired nutrition and restricted ingredients.Work and communicate with all cross functional departments necessary to ensure documentation is up to date.Manage cross functional meetings as needed to communicate changes in documentation and processing sheets.Be knowledgeable in all Boars Head specific processes.Understand product processing and be able to recommend changes as required to ensure compliance with processing specifications.Take all measures to ensure internal/external customer total satisfaction.Must communicate effectively through all levels of the Corporation from Sr. Executive level to plant personnel.Analyze data as needed.Audit in process documentation for all processes at all production facilities.Help ensure associates are properly trained and understand associated process documents.Exercises good communication skills.Ensure all department Standard Operating Procedures are followed and/or are met.Maintain strict confidentiality on all sensitive information including proprietary processes, formulas and Corporate Strategies.Be an effective team player.Additional attributesAnalytical background in product formulation.A "passion" about food.Have understanding of stage gate and formulation software.Knowledge of recipe development and formulation.Ability to work as part of a product-development team.Knowledge of food sanitation, manufacturing GMP’s and SOP’s.Must be a self-starter and have an enthusiastic and positive attitude.Action oriented/willing to accept responsibility/organized/intellectually curious/proactive.Knowledge of food/deli meat production systems.Knowledge of functional ingredients within applicable deli meat application and formulation.Ability to prioritize.Skilled in computer software and high understanding of MS Excel.Education and ExperienceBachelor in Food Science or Science preferred.5-7 years of experience.Full timePosting Date: 2026-06-16
