Surgical Coordinator/Medical Front Desk

We are seeking a Surgical Coordinator/Medical Front Desk professional for a full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 position at our Boynton Beach office. Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Patient care is our top concern, and because we can provide both diagnosis and rehabilitative services, our patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs. Surgical Coordinator/Medical Front Desk Description This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is comfortable with scheduling surgical procedures, medical terminology, scheduling appointments, able to handle a high volume of patients, phone calls and charts, multitask oriented, motivated, organized, must be a self-starter and willing to learn all aspects of the ENT surgical procedures. Responsibilities Answering patient calls and surgery inquiries Patient Counseling under the direction of the office manager and surgeon Verification of surgical benefits and obtaining authorizations Scheduling surgical procedures at our credentialed centers and hospitals Communicating and updating patients on surgery status Reconciliation of deposits and copays for surgery Ensure medical clearance, pre‑op and post‑op instructions are relayed to patient in a timely manner Obtaining proper consents for appropriate surgical procedures Provide updates to surgeon in a timely manner Requirements Minimum one‑year cosmetic and medical surgical procedure scheduling experience Clinical experience is a plus Ability to prioritize Working knowledge of medical terminology Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice Strong interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills The ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, physicians, and team members EMR experience Strong computer literacy Bilingual is a plus Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision: Effective 1st of the month after 60 days of full‑time employment Company paid STD, LTD, Life: Effective 1st of the month after 1 year of full‑time employment 401(k): Effective 1st of the month after 1 year of employment 6 Paid Holidays: Effective immediately PTO: Time earned per pay period Physical Demands Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the position or directed by the Manager. The incumbent must also be capable of lifting up to 15 pounds.
