Outdoor Recreation Park Associate

SUMMARY

This job runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day -- all candidates must be available for the entire session. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations, Member and Guest Services, the Outdoor Recreation Park Associate is primarily responsible for delivering the highest quality of customer service to all members and guests of the JCC. This position is the first point of contact for all visitors to the Outdoor Recreation Park. The associate is responsible for being fully knowledgeable about the center and its programs/services, delivering the highest level of service to our members and potential members/guests, exemplifying professionalism, and ensuring we adhere to the values and mission of the JCC.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Provide essential customer service to ensure member satisfaction and member appreciation. This includes greeting guests and members at the main entrance upon arrival and departure to the Outdoor Recreation Park check‑in area. Ensure members scan their cards and all non‑members follow appropriate check‑in procedures. Proactively and accurately respond to client needs. Assist members with inquiries and JCC program questions, directing them to the proper department if needed. Assist the member services department in acquiring new members and retaining existing members. Provide consistent and reliable attendance. Find adequate coverage in a timely manner and alert supervisor in advance of schedule changes or absences. Serve as a liaison between members and staff by communicating member concerns to the proper supervisor. Maintain organization of supplies and paperwork. Ensure the desk is properly stocked and kept clean. Utilize CRM for check‑in and follow proper security protocols for guests. Participate in departmental and agency training, staff meetings, and special events when necessary. Maintain and enforce agency policies and procedures. Always meet JCC standards for professionalism in conduct and appearance. Wear the staff uniform on shift at all times.

WHO YOU ARE

Customer‑centered attitude, strong work ethic, and positive attitude. Experience working in customer service, sales‑oriented, or hospitality positions preferred. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to think critically. Ability to multitask effectively. Interest in learning new processes and skills. Proficiency with computers.
