This ongoing, temporary position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work across multiple locations in the Salt Lake City area, providing valuable experience in blood and urine specimen collection within a clinical setting in the region. Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of blood and urine specimens

Perform venipuncture to collect blood specimens accurately and safely

Observe and collect urine specimens from patients, including supervised and observed collections

Follow departmental policies to correctly identify patients prior to specimen collection

Properly label and document specimens, preparing them for shipment

Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate compassion during patient interactions

Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and clinic staff

Adhere to Universal Precautions and OSHA standards when handling specimens

Strictly follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality

Maintain neat, clean, and orderly work and patient areas

Assist with office supply management and order processing as needed

A minimum of 6 months of venipuncture experience required

Strong customer service skills and a verifiable track record of providing excellent patient interactions

Reliable with a strong work ethic and dependable attendance

Strong computer skills, including mult-program management, email, and report handling

Fast and accurate data entry skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical activities such as lifting up to 50 lbs, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and squatting

Venipuncture certification or documented experience required

Experience performing urine drug screen collections, including observed and supervised collection, preferred

Willingness to float to multiple locations in and around Salt Lake City, UT, with mileage reimbursement

Schedule includes Monday through Friday, with shifts built out weekly by the manager for approximately 40 hours per week
