Pharmacy Technician

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Contract Dates: August 3, 2026–October 2, 2026
Location: Optum Infusion PA183
4000 Chemical Road, Suite 100
Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. EST
Work Setting: On-site
Minimum Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Certification Required: No
Dress Code: Business casual; jeans are permitted

Position Overview

Optum Infusion is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy production and warehouse operations. This position will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping medications and medical supplies to patients accurately and on time.

The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy leadership, and other technicians to ensure patient orders are completed efficiently and all outgoing packages are ready for scheduled courier, FedEx, and UPS pickups.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull medications and supplies according to individual patient orders and needs.
• Package medications and supplies accurately for shipment.
• Prepare deliveries for pickup by local couriers, FedEx, and UPS.
• Ensure all outgoing packages are completed and picked up before the end of the business day.
• Verify that orders are packaged securely and include the appropriate medications and supplies.
• Maintain accuracy and organization within the pharmacy production and warehouse areas.
• Communicate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure daily work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Assist with additional pharmacy production, inventory, and warehouse duties as assigned.
• Follow all pharmacy procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Team Structure

The Pharmacy Technician will join a collaborative pharmacy team of approximately 13 employees, including:

• One Director of Pharmacy
• Four pharmacists
• Eight pharmacy technicians

This role will work closely with registered pharmacists, the Director of Pharmacy, the Director of Operations, and other pharmacy technicians.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience.
• Ability to accurately pull, package, and prepare medications and supplies.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet daily shipping deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous home infusion pharmacy experience.
• Pharmacy Technician certification.
• Experience working in pharmacy production, fulfillment, packaging, shipping, or warehouse operations.

Interview Process

Qualified candidates will participate in a video or phone interview with the Director of Operations and Director of Pharmacy.
