Overview LPN / LVN – Coronary Care Unit (CCU) Location: Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, ME Full-time | Nights | 7p–7a | 12-Hour Shifts The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides direct and indirect patient care in a high-acuity Coronary Care Unit (CCU). Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), this role supports cardiac patient care, safety, and clinical outcomes while enhancing the patient experience. Responsibilities Provide bedside patient care and monitor vital signs and cardiac status Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws Collaborate with RNs and care teams on treatment plans Ensure patient safety, infection control, and protocol compliance Document care in EMR/EHR systems Report changes in patient condition promptly Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING High School Diploma or equivalent required. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required. IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. Work experience in health care preferred. Pay Transparency Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $27.00 to $30.75. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
