Must-Have:
Applicants must have trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience due to trauma status.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Weekend availability is required.
On-call duties are required, with call distributed equally among nursing staff every 6 weeks.
Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby their contracted facility.
Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.


Description:
The position requires a registered nurse with experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgery.
Applicants must be prepared to cover one night shift within their contract as needed.
The daily patient census is approximately 25 cases.
Staffing ratios are 1 RN to 6 surgical techs during the day, and 1 RN to 1 surgical tech at night.
Travelers must be flexible with scheduling and may need to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
The environment supports a diverse range of procedures including general, vascular, neuro, orthopedic, and robotic surgeries.
Special equipment used in the unit may include various surgical instruments and technology specific to operating room procedures.
All nursing staff are expected to adhere to infection control protocols and safety regulations.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential to provide comprehensive patient care.
Candidates must submit two professional references from supervisors within the last three years.
