Description:
- The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- The nurse will be working in a one-to-three patient ratio.
- The facility will allow for a four days per week schedule upon request.
- Charting will be done using the Epic system.
- The nurse may need to float between similar units.
- Local candidates will not be accepted.
- Travelers may be expected to float between associated facilities.
- Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
- Completed certifications must be provided.
- Orientation hours may be required prior to starting the assignment.
- The nurse should have experience in various labor and delivery procedures and support.
- Responsibilities include assisting with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- The position entails postpartum care and support for new mothers and infants.
- The nurse will be involved in monitoring patients during labor and delivery.
- The role includes patient education and discharge teaching.
- The nurse will be expected to administer medications and manage IV therapy.
- Additional responsibilities may consist of assisting with high-risk deliveries and complications.
- The nurse should demonstrate knowledge of infant care and assessment post-delivery.
- Participation in team-based care and interdisciplinary support is expected.
