Position: Senior Litigation Attorney / Market Expansion

Client: Law firm

Location: Remote from Nevada

Duration: Fulltime/Permanent

Work Schedule: Remote from Nevada

Position Overview

Our client is exploring expansion into the Nevada market and is interested in identifying an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney who could help establish and grow the firm's presence in the state.

The ideal candidate will have significant first-party property insurance litigation experience or a highly transferable litigation background, along with strong connections to the Nevada legal or business community.

Because Nevada represents a potential new market for the firm, candidates who bring referral relationships, portable business, multiple licenses, leadership capabilities, or market-development experience will receive particularly strong consideration.

Responsibilities

• Manage first-party property insurance and related litigation matters.
• Develop litigation strategy and independently handle matters through resolution.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Manage discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
• Draft substantive pleadings, briefs, and motions.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Assist firm leadership in establishing and growing a Nevada practice.
• Develop relationships with potential clients, referral partners, and industry professionals.
• Identify growth opportunities within the Nevada market.
• Help build future legal and operational infrastructure as the practice expands.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active Nevada Bar license in good standing.
• Significant litigation experience.
• First-party property insurance experience strongly preferred.
• Strong transferable backgrounds in insurance, commercial, construction, or complex civil litigation may also be considered.
• Excellent deposition, motion practice, negotiation, and trial preparation skills.
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Established Nevada referral relationships.
• Portable book of business.
• Prior experience helping launch or grow a legal practice.Demonstrated business development success.
• Leadership or team-management experience.
• Multiple state bar licenses.
