Operations Manager

TriPax Resources is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Operations Manager on behalf of a growing, established full-service landscape services organization in the Greater Akron Ohio area. This is not a role for someone who simply wants to be the best firefighter in the field. We are looking for an operational leader who can build the systems, develop the managers, establish accountability, and create the visibility necessary to help a growing organization operate at a higher level. The Operations Manager will take ownership of Operations across Maintenance, Design/Build, Turf, and Snow , with responsibility for approximately 20 field staff and a broad operating scope that includes scheduling, production, crews, fleet, equipment, systems, technology, metrics, training, and manager development. What You'll Own You will be responsible for how work moves from planning through production and completion across the organization, including: Leading Operations across Maintenance, Design/Build, Turf, and Snow Translating company priorities into operational plans and consistent execution Owning scheduling, crew deployment, resource planning, and production Managing fleet and equipment readiness, maintenance, repairs, and related systems Building and maintaining operational KPIs, scorecards, and production metrics Reviewing job costing, labor variances, production performance, and operational reporting Leading weekly production meetings and participating as an accountable member of the leadership team Improving sales-to-operations handoffs so teams enter production with the information they need Building, documenting, standardizing, and improving operational systems and SOPs Coaching and developing managers and crew leaders through regular one-on-ones and development planning Supporting Operations hiring, onboarding, training, and leadership development Identifying root causes of recurring problems and turning them into stronger processes Evaluating and implementing technology, AI, robotics, and automation where they meaningfully improve operations The position is intended to independently own and lead Operations rather than require constant day-to-day direction from ownership. What We're Looking For The right candidate will bring: Demonstrated leadership experience in landscape operations, construction, service operations, or a similar environment Experience leading through managers and crew leaders Strong scheduling, planning, production, labor-utilization, and resource-management capability Experience building or improving operational systems and processes Ability to develop, maintain, and use KPIs and scorecards Experience working with job costing, labor variance, production, and performance reporting Strong people-management skills, including coaching, expectation setting, accountability, and addressing conflict Experience developing managers and building stronger leaders Ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions Ability to manage fleet and equipment readiness systems Comfort learning and consistently using operational technology and systems Openness to the practical use of AI, robotics, automation, and other technology to improve operations Current systems referenced by the organization include LMN, LeanScaper, QuickBooks Online, Fleetio, and Trello .
