Vendor & Fleet Operations Liaison

Position Overview The Vendor Operations Liaison serves as the primary point of contact for third‑party Marine Operating Centers (MOCs) supporting outsourced service operations. The role manages vendor relationships across an assigned region, ensuring service quality, operational efficiency, and financial accuracy. Responsibilities include overseeing vendor performance, reviewing invoicing and billing, coordinating fleet service needs, and proactively resolving operational issues to keep club locations running smoothly. Essential Functions Serve as primary point of contact for third‑party MOCs within an assigned region. Maintain strong, professional relationships to drive service performance and responsiveness. Monitor and report on vendor performance, including service quality, turnaround times, and operational effectiveness. Hold vendors accountable to agreed service levels by addressing performance gaps and setting expectations. Review, validate, challenge discrepancies, and approve vendor invoices for accuracy. Resolve routine operational and vendor‑related issues independently, escalating complex issues as needed. Coordinate fleet boat transportation to and from vendor service locations. Conduct site visits to club locations and vendor facilities to assess operations. Exercise day‑to‑day decision‑making authority for repairs and operational needs per company guidelines. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align vendor services with business and customer needs. Track and communicate vendor performance metrics, cost trends, and service outcomes to leadership. Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to enhance vendor operations, reduce costs and improve delivery. Provide high‑level customer service to internal teams and external vendors for seamless operations. Required Qualifications Experience in vendor management, operations coordination, or supply‑chain support. Strong relationship‑management and customer‑service skills; ability to build trust and influence partners. Experience reviewing invoices, billing, or financial documentation with attention to detail. Demonstrated problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills. Strong organizational and time‑management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities. Analytical skills to evaluate vendor performance and communicate findings to leadership. Valid driver’s license with experience trailering boats. Mechanical or marine systems knowledge (technical coursework or equivalent experience preferred). Familiarity with marine safety equipment and dockside procedures. Ability to work independently and adapt to seasonal demands. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with dealerships, marinas, or marine service environments. Familiarity with fleet operations or boat maintenance coordination. Experience in contract management or vendor performance evaluation. Background in logistics, transportation coordination, or field operations. Experience working in multi‑location or regional operations environments. Working Conditions Work performed in both office and field environments, including marina and dockside locations. Frequent regional travel to visit club locations and vendor sites. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions (heat, humidity, rain, wind). May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Safety required to navigate docks, board boats, and work around water. Use of standard office equipment, computers, and mobile devices. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically. PPE may be required when visiting vendor service facilities. Travel regionally as required. Compensation Hiring range: $60,250 to $66,500 annually, depending on experience and location.
