An exciting permanent opportunity has opened for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist (also known as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) with an area healthcare client where you'll use your expertise to operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce high quality images that are used by physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• National certification in specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Vascular ultrasound credential required. Must hold RVT or RVS.
• Registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound.
• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
• Maintain required certifications, registries, health requirements, and operational requirements. Ability to present copies of registries or diploma on request.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be able to provide license copy for periodic checks.
• BLS Certification.
• Complete and successfully pass drug screening and background check. Maintain compliance with criminal background and drug-free workplace policies.
• COVID-19 vaccination required or submit proper exemption documentation.
• Ability to perform basic smartphone and computer tasks such as printing, scanning, and attaching documents to emails.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer preferred.

Shift Details:

• Flex Shifts. Monday-Friday 7:00a-3:30p, or 8:00a-4:30p.
• Weekend work as needed based on caseload. Overtime applies when applicable.

Role Summary and Responsibilities:

• Provide mobile ultrasound services at various sites including nursing homes, home care facilities, correctional facilities, and processing sites throughout the service region.
• Operate portable sonographic equipment to obtain diagnostically acceptable images and digitally transmit studies to radiologists for interpretation.
• Self-dispatch or contact dispatch for case assignments. Check voicemail and case availability regularly during the shift.
• Arrive prepared for first case at shift start or leave home at least 30 minutes prior when required.
• Verify physician orders with patient chart prior to performing exams. Confirm patient identity using two identifiers. Document nurse verification when patient cannot identify self.
• Do not perform patient transfers. Facility staff must provide required patient support and positioning.
• Maintain and care for assigned vehicle and equipment. Report equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Wear company uniform and badge, carry company-provided phone, and respond to urgent communications within 15 minutes.
• Complete required medical physicals, TB screening, and annual infection control training. Provide documentation within required timeframes.
• Scan exam-related paperwork and billing daily per protocol.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, clients, peers, and supervisory staff. Attend required meetings and training.
• Train other technologists as required. Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to company policies regarding substance use, weapons, and professional conduct.
