Part-Time Temporary Registered Nurse

The Public Health Department promotes the health of the entire community through varied programs ranging from reproductive health care and coordination of the response to health emergencies to individual case management to primary prevention of disease and wellness promotion. We are currently seeking one part-time, temporary Registered Nurse to be an integral part of our Truckee Clinical Services Team. Please be sure to apply for all levels which you wish to be considered.

Duties will include:

• Screening adolescent and adult clients for reproductive healthcare services. Taking health histories and exploring family planning options.
• Educating and empowering individuals from high-risk populations and underserved communities.
• Providing vaccine information and immunizations.
• Maintaining and ordering medical supply inventory.
• Reviewing lab results and providing appropriate follow-up.
• Provide medication support services according to prescribed guidelines.

This is a temporary and part-time position working an average of 20 hours but not more than 29 hours per week, for a maximum of 960 hours per fiscal year. Temporary employees earn sick leave but are not eligible for other vacation or holiday pay, or for medical, dental, vision benefits, or CalPERS.
