Location: Ponca City, OK

Amount of Travel Required: N/A

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Overtime as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Press Brake Operator will use the press brake machine to shape multiple types of metal, primarily sheet metal. To do so, the operators load pieces of metal into the machine for shaping or straightening, aligning and positioning the material to achieve specific shapes to meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")

• Operate press break machine.
• Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
• Check height, depth and thickness using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake.
• Program the CNC to produce new parts meeting specifications.
• Perform spot inspections of parts.
• Complete and maintain paperwork.
• Have an understanding of and ability to utilize a tape measure, squaring tools, electronic level, calipers, and micrometers.
• Understand tolerances for parts.
• Check machine for defects and repair if necessary.
• Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned.
• Performs other duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s) including pre employment Pulmonary Function Test (PFT.)
• Daily overtime required and in person, predictable attendance in Ponca City, OK

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

• U.S. High School Diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years of related press brake experience; 2-5 yrs. Preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment not required, but highly desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES

• Experience/knowledge in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatics, confined space work.
• Must be able to operate overhead crane.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical schematics, and piping diagrams in various formats and calculate measurements.

Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. Work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather, including typical and atypical outdoor elements and extreme cold and hot weather temperatures. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) ( long-sleeve shirt/jeans, blasting hood, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection, and blasting gloves ) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. Operators are regularly required to lift heavy objects; therefore, the Operator must be able to lift 49 lbs. independently and 50 100 lbs. with a team lift.

Work hours may include or includes early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
