Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office, where you will work in a dynamic and welcoming environment. The facility is designed to support both individual and group therapy sessions, with modern equipment and resources at your disposal to facilitate optimal patient recovery. You will be part of a collaborative team that meets Monday through Friday to discuss patient care and treatment options, ensuring a cohesive approach to each patient's recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to analyze movement patterns and individual needs, and create personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions including active and passive exercises, muscle re-education techniques, and functional training tailored to improve the patient's mobility and overall function.

• Support patients in their rehabilitation process by providing guidance on activities of daily living, prosthetic training, and gait analysis to promote independence.

• Educate patients and their families about therapy objectives, expected outcomes, and home exercise programs to foster a commitment to their rehabilitation.

• Maintain ongoing communication with fellow healthcare team members to coordinate treatment plans, share progress updates, and ensure the continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapist will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. This role will require not only advanced skill in working with physical rehabilitation but also an empathetic approach to understand the patient's needs and provide emotional support throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

• Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

While previous experience in an orthopedic setting is preferred, it is not mandatory. We value dedication and a willingness to learn as essential qualities for success in our practice.

Compensation and Benefits
