Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth evaluations of patients to assess their physical therapy needs and capabilities, utilizing diagnostic and prognostic tools to develop effective treatment plans.
• Implement personalized physical therapy protocols, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities aimed at pain relief and functional improvement.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants in the execution of treatment plans to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care.
• Engage in regular collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to effectively communicate patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend adaptive equipment and ortho-prosthetic devices to enhance patient mobility and independence.
• Advise patients and their families on comprehensive care strategies, ensuring adherence to the physical therapy plan and enhancing patient understanding of their healing process.
• Maintain an effective scheduling system to manage a full caseload while adhering to patient care protocols and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with a commitment to abide by state regulations.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a physical therapy role, ideally in acute care or home care settings.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and their families, combined with a team-oriented mindset.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time Physical Therapist position offers an attractive yearly salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
