Work Environment

This role will primarily be onsite, where you will visit patients in their homes to provide therapy. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a warm, supportive environment that prioritizes clinical excellence and fosters professional growth. You will have the autonomy to create a flexible schedule, working from Monday to Friday, which allows you to maintain a work-life balance while delivering vital services to clients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at East Valley Rehab Center, your key responsibilities will include:

• Directing individualized treatment plans designed to prevent disabilities, relieve pain, and restore function.
• Overseeing Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to ensure appropriate implementation of therapeutic interventions.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess the client's physical abilities and needs, utilizing diagnostic tests for muscles, joints, and functional capabilities.
• Assessing the home environment for rehabilitation potential and recommending modifications to enhance client independence.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, providing guidance and motivation to clients during non-manual activities.
• Using manual therapies, including traction and massage, as well as applying physical agents to facilitate recovery.
• Evaluating and recommending orthotic and prosthetic devices while working closely with physicians to ensure optimal client outcomes.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and review care plans, as well as providing updates on patient progress.
• Maintaining accurate and thorough clinical records, making timely submissions to align with company policies.
• Educating clients and families on the use and care of therapy equipment and the importance of adherence to the therapy program.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working closely with diverse patient populations in a home care setting, including elderly clients, those recovering from surgery, individuals with neurological conditions, and patients with chronic pain. You will adapt your approaches to meet the varied needs of each client, fostering an atmosphere of understanding and support that promotes their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current PT licensure in good standing in the state of Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license with active automobile insurance for work-related travel.
• A passion for delivering clinical excellence with a focus on quality and integrity and positively impacting patient care.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with:

• At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly in acute care or home care settings.
• A strong ability to lead and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Proficiency in utilizing federal and state regulations governing home health care services.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging clients and families effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
