We primarily work with private medical insurance carriers and focus on delivering personalized care to every client.

Work Environment

Located in the heart of Roanoke, Virginia, our rehabilitation center offers an onsite, vibrant, and collaborative work environment. You will be part of a close-knit team that includes two other physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). We maintain a professional yet compassionate atmosphere, where all team members work collaboratively to ensure every patient's needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with patients to set and achieve individual therapy goals, ensuring targeted rehabilitation plans are established and adhered to.
• Provide comprehensive assessments and treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific orthopedic needs, employing a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques.
• Manage a patient load of 2-3 clients per hour, ensuring high-quality engagement and effective treatment delivery.
• Reduce dependency on medications and invasive procedures by offering evidence-based alternatives, promoting natural recovery through personalized care.
• Design and implement fitness and wellness programs that address the unique needs of each patient, fostering long-term health and mobility.
• Document all patient care services and progress accurately in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring a seamless flow of information within the team.
• Communicate regularly with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and enhance patient outcomes.
• Motivate and empower patients during their recovery process, instilling confidence and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients seeking rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries, post-operative recovery, and mobility enhancement. You will work with a diverse clientele that includes active adults, elderly individuals, and athletes requiring targeted therapy to optimize their return to full activity. By understanding their unique challenges, you will effectively guide them through their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program is required.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia is essential.
• No board actions or disciplinary actions on your license.
• Strong manual therapy skills are crucial for effectively addressing patients' needs.
• Proficiency in exercise prescription and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred to ensure familiarity with common conditions and treatment protocols.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, demonstrating cultural competence and individual adaptability.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
