Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will operate in an onsite outpatient office setting, which offers a collaborative and supportive environment. You will have access to advanced rehabilitation technologies and tools to facilitate effective therapy sessions. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you ample time to engage with patients and collaborate with your peers. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations in adherence to both best practice standards and state guidelines.
• Assess patient mobility, strength, and overall functional capacity to set achievable rehabilitation goals tailored to individual needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient evaluations, including short-term and long-term objectives that incorporate input from the multidisciplinary team.
• Regularly monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress in accordance with medical and facility standards, supporting continuity of care.
• Stay current with industry developments by participating in ongoing education and training workshops, and by reviewing professional literature.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care and contribute to a nurturing therapeutic environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will engage with a varied patient demographic, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will have the opportunity to treat patients of all ages, tailoring approaches to their specific needs and capabilities. Utilizing empathetic engagement, you will motivate patients to push their limits responsibly while ensuring their safety throughout the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Master's or Doctorate degree is strongly preferred.
• An active Physical Therapy license valid in the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with an AED endorsement.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience providing physical therapy services to a diverse patient population.
• Demonstrated empathy and a strong capacity to motivate patients through their recovery journey.
• Knowledge of best practices regarding physical therapy equipment use, preventative maintenance, and safety protocols.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of experience is required, candidates with specialized training or certification in orthopedic physical therapy or manual therapy techniques will be highly regarded. Familiarity with advanced therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation approaches will contribute to success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
