Spine and Joint Rehab Center in Salem, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team. This is a privately-owned practice where we primarily serve patients with private medical insurance, allowing for a focused and customized approach to each client's care.

Work Environment

You will work onsite at our clean, welcoming rehabilitation facility located in Salem, Virginia. Our modern setting is conducive to both patient treatment and therapist collaboration. The typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, fostering a balanced work-life situation. As part of a friendly and supportive team comprising two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will have ample opportunity to share insights and develop treatment strategies in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient goals and treatment needs, ensuring all interventions align with those objectives.
• Manage a patient caseload with a steady focus on providing personalized care, typically accommodating one patient per hour.
• Implement cost-effective and individualized treatment strategies that enhance patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Advocate for alternatives to surgical interventions and minimize medication dependency through effective therapy practices.
• Create comprehensive care plans, incorporating contemporary therapeutic techniques to cater to diverse patient scenarios.
• Design and establish tailored fitness and wellness programs aimed at maximizing individual treatment outcomes.
• Maintain high standards of patient care by applying evidence-based methodologies and proven interventions.
• Engage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process, fostering an environment of empowerment and opportunity.
• Encourage healthy lifestyle choices by focusing on improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate and consult with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and monitor patient progress, ensuring clear and concise communication with patients and their families.
• Thoroughly document all patient care services provided, maintaining accurate records in compliance with facility protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with patients from various backgrounds and age groups, all seeking relief and recovery through specialized physical therapy. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• A valid Virginia license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• No disciplinary actions or negative history related to professional conduct.
• Demonstrated proficiency in various manual therapy techniques.
• Excellent skills in developing and implementing targeted exercise protocols.
• Experience with EMR software, specifically WebPT, is preferred to streamline patient management.

Preferred Experience

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings. Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
