Work Environment

This position is predominantly onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in Roanoke, Virginia. You will be part of a collaborative healthcare team, including orthopedic surgeons, nurses, and other specialists, working together to deliver holistic care to our patients. Our center is equipped with advanced therapeutic technologies and treatment modalities, allowing you to implement a diverse range of therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients to accurately determine their physical needs and goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as manual therapy, strengthening exercises, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and strategies to encourage active participation in the recovery process.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to discuss patient progress, share insights, and optimize the overall care approach.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and document progress notes to track improvements and comply with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients encompass a diverse demographic, ranging from young athletes recovering from sports injuries to older adults experiencing age-related orthopedic issues. Each patient requires a tailored approach that reflects their unique needs, physical capabilities, and rehabilitation goals. Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• A current Virginia state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic clinical setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to connect with patients and facilitate a trusting therapeutic relationship.
• A proactive, positive attitude and an eagerness to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is preferred, outstanding new graduates who demonstrate strong clinical acumen and a desire to excel in orthopedic rehabilitation will be considered. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and experience in evidence-based practice will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance your quality of life. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401k plan with employer matching; and generous paid time off totaling two to three weeks per year. Additionally, we offer continuing education support of $1,500 to $2,500 for CMEs, ensuring that you can keep advancing your professional development.
