Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist with Upstream Physical Medicine and Chiropractic Practice, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations, developing tailored treatment plans that align with the physician's recommendations.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to enhance patient recovery and mobility.
• Provide skilled therapeutic care and education directly in patients' homes, using advanced methodologies that drive optimal outcomes.
• Engage in regular consultations with patients and their caregivers to guide them through treatment processes and answer any questions that may arise.
• Meet or exceed minimum utilization goals and contribute to practice performance metrics through diligence and expertise.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care strategies and share best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient demographic, treating various conditions that encompass orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine specialties. This enables you to utilize your skills across multiple treatment modalities and make substantial improvements in patients' functional abilities and overall health.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited physical therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• A current and valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in computer systems.
• The ability to establish rapport with patients, fostering an environment conducive to recovery.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with additional experience in home care settings or with specific populations, such as pediatrics or geriatrics, are particularly encouraged to apply. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is also preferred, as it reflects a higher level of expertise.
