Healing Touch Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Physical Therapist to join our team at our Roanoke, Virginia facility. In this role, you will work directly with patients in their homes, focusing on improving mobility and enhancing overall quality of life. Work Environment

This position is an onsite role that involves traveling to patients' homes to provide therapeutic services directly in a comfortable and familiar setting. You will work Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, facilitating a structured yet adaptable schedule that allows for quality patient interactions and care. The home care setting requires flexibility, adaptability, and a compassionate approach to treatment delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, understanding their unique needs and rehabilitation objectives.
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour, providing detailed, hands-on evaluations and targeted therapeutic interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques to enhance mobility, alleviate pain, and restore function.
• Utilize resources efficiently to deliver cost-effective care, focusing on improving patients' range of motion and decreasing dependency on medication.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their rehabilitation processes, fostering an environment of encouragement and empowerment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic patient care.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to accurately document patient treatments and monitor progress.
• Regularly evaluate patient outcomes, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to meet evolving needs.
• Design and promote fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patients' lifestyles and rehabilitation goals.
• Foster a healthy lifestyle for clients by improving their strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through targeted exercises and education.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients who require rehabilitation for various conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain management, and mobility limitations. As a Physical Therapist in a home care setting, you will have the unique opportunity to build strong rapport with patients, enhancing their recovery experience while promoting their independence and confidence in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• No record of disciplinary actions on your professional license.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
• Familiarity with EMR software, specifically WebPT, to maintain accurate documentation and treatment notes.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Experience in home health care or rehabilitation services is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to implement evidence-based practices in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits
