Position Overview

Core & Agility Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Physical Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team in Roanoke, Virginia. In this full-time, onsite position, you will work closely with patients of various age groups and conditions to develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing mobility and improving quality of life. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, including reviewing medical histories and performing physical assessments.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunctions and creating tailored treatment plans that address specific goals and needs.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic exercise techniques, utilizing equipment such as resistance bands, weights, and specialized modalities to enhance recovery.
• Providing hands-on therapies, including stimulation, massage, and manual therapy to alleviate pain and promote healing.
• Instructing patients in the proper and safe use of mobility aids such as wheelchairs and walkers.
• Documenting patient progress in compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to treatment plan revisions as necessary.
• Educating patients and their families on in-home exercise programs and strategies to manage their conditions effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic includes children, adults, and seniors experiencing a wide range of physical challenges, from post-operative rehabilitation to chronic pain management. You will engage with individuals facing unique health issues, making empathy and strong communication skills essential in building trust and effectively educating clients about their treatment plans.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear interactions with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in using computerized systems for patient record management and documentation.

Preferred Experience
