Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in Roanoke, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric evaluations to assess physical conditions, mobility, and overall patient needs, crafting individualized treatment plans based on each child's unique challenges.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities and techniques, ensuring adherence to industry-standard practices in both treatment and patient education.
• Consult with patients and their caregivers, providing detailed explanations of therapy procedures, expected outcomes, and progressive rehabilitation processes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory and facility guidelines.
• Engage in patient and staff education, often leading workshops to enhance understanding of pediatric physical therapy among families and healthcare workers.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, including providing input on rehabilitation protocols and patient care outcomes.
• Ensure optimal operational efficiency within the facility by managing scheduling, liaising with support staff, and overseeing the use of equipment.
• Actively participate in continuous professional development through training and seminars.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on pediatric patients, ranging from infants to adolescents, with various conditions including developmental delays, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and neurological disorders. As a Physical Therapist, you will create tailored treatment plans that promote mobility, strength, and functional independence for each child, enhancing their quality of life and supporting their growth.

Qualifications

• Current State Physical Therapist license in Virginia.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; preference for candidates with a Master's or Doctorate degree.
• Clinical experience in pediatric physical therapy settings, demonstrating a sound understanding of childhood development and rehabilitation practices.
• Demonstrated competency in performing physical assessments followed by the development of actionable treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 50,000 to 75,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
