Environment, Health and Safety Manager

EMCO Chemical Distributors, LLC is a leading distributor, custom blender, and packager of chemicals in North America. The Company distributes and packages more than 300 million pounds of chemicals annually for over 4,000 customers across a variety of industries. We are seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager for our Pleasant Prairie, WI facility (On-Site). Local candidates are preferred. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily environmental, health, and safety operations, drive preventive actions, and recommend practical solutions. Leads the investigation of accidents and injuries to determine root cause, cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence, and identifies preventative safety measures and enforces correction actions. Provide guidance, support, implement and maintain environmental, safety, and health/hygiene programs to ensure compliance with regulatory (OSHA, EPA, DOT, WIDNR, etc.) and company requirements. Communicate EHS programs promptly to manage and train employees on respirator protection, PIV, hazard communication, fall protection, lockout/tagout, and other required EHS topics. Retain appropriate records and updates in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Implement safety compliance procedures, plans, and reports. Develop and analyze a comprehensive understanding of the effects of hazardous conditions and unsafe acts. Conduct daily facility-wide activities, such as inspections, housekeeping and internal audits, etc. Plan and maintain records for on‑going employee health screening schedules and maintain any medical records in accordance to federal HIPPA regulations. Maintain all OSHA required logs, records, and reports. Coordinate site employee EHS committee. Provide input in the engineering design process for equipment modifications or facility improvements to ensure compliance. Manage multiple priorities effectively with minimal direction and supervision. Manage environmental compliance programs. Issue and oversee environmental related permitting, as necessary. Conduct Industrial Hygiene (IH) studies as needed under the guidance of the EHS Director. Qualification Requirements Bachelor’s degree In EHS or related field. 5-7 years of EHS experience, preferably in the chemical industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Presentation skills, and PC skills. Valid Driver’s license. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment‑based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
