PART TIME:Position Overview The Remediation Coordinator supports the Qawalangin Tribe of Unalaska’s environmental remediation program by assisting with project planning, fieldwork, data management, reporting, and community outreach. This role helps advance Tribal priorities related to environmental protection, environmental remediation, and community well-being. Working closely with the Remediation Manager, the Coordinator plays a key role in implementing projects, ensuring compliance, and supporting sustainable development initiatives. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct site assessments to identify contamination and environmental risks, includingtimely surveys and inventories of FUD sites.Support project planning, tracking, and implementation, including work plans, timelines,and budgetsAssist with grant reporting, regulatory compliance, and tracking project deliverablesCollect, organize, and manage environmental and project-related dataSupport the preparation of reports, presentations, and project documentationMaintain accurate project files, records, and databasesAssist with logistics for meetings, workshops, field activities, and procurementSupport community outreach and education through events, presentations, andcommunication materialsCollaborate with Tribal staff, partners, and community membersSupervise seasonal technicians or interns as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field ora combination of relevant experience and Traditional Ecological KnowledgeP.O.
