Job Description
Job Title: Electrophysiology Lab Tech

Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required
License: Virginia state license required for ARRT(R) or CCI RCES/RCIS.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES, State License required if ARRT certified.


Must-Have:
- Electrophysiology Lab experience.
- Experience with EP mapping.
- Proficiency in sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation.
- Knowledge of fluro, Siemens, Ultrasound, Phillips, Carto Ensite, and Cardiolab.
- Understanding of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management.


Description:
Position available for an Electrophysiology Lab Tech.
Locals allowed but must live a minimum of 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address.
Shift hours are 4x10, from 07:00 to 17:30, with rotating late shifts.
There are no weekend or call requirements.
Staff must sign up to stay late if a case extends into the evening.
Holiday closures are in effect on certain designated holidays.
Charting is done through Epic, and requests for time off must be submitted.
The facility may allow one shift cancellation every two weeks.
Travelers must be available to work one holiday during each 13-week contract.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Active state license is needed, and any pending licenses are acceptable.
Virginia will grant emergency authorization to travelers waiting for their permanent license.
Modules assigned will be billable, with an average duration of 2 to 8.5 hours.
Modules must be completed within the first week of the assignment.
Compliance documentation is required prior to the start date.
Experience in monitoring, arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, and diagnostic cardiac procedures is important.
Familiarity with equipment setup, insertion/programming of AICDs, and isolation precautions is essential.
Candidate should be adept in operating as room circulator and scrub, maintaining sterile fields.
