Requirements:
Ability to care for up to 1-3 ICU patients and have comfort in managing patients on the ventilator. Bedside shift report will occur on every patient with each transfer of care. Proficient in reading telemetry strips. Advanced skills needed: CRRT, Advanced Hemodynamics, Phlebotomy. Nurses administer breathing treatments outside of the ICU (Inhalers and nebulizers). Procedures performed on unit include post op day 0 CABG, impellas, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz, neuro procedures for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, experience with EVDs, bolts, (Codman) and Artic Sun with induced hypothermia. Must have: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale.

Responsibilities:

• Provide ICU nursing care to a mixed patient population, including neuro and cardiovascular cases.
• Manage ventilated patients and perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
• Conduct bedside shift reports and patient handoffs.
• Perform procedures such as post-op CABG care, Impella management, balloon pump operation, Swan Ganz catheterization, and neuro interventions.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies and utilize hospital equipment and documentation systems.
