* Lead environmental incident response, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action processes, including escalation and reporting protocols where required.
* Partner with operations, facilities, engineering, and site leadership to evaluate environmental risks associated with process changes, capital projects, expansions, and new product or facility initiatives.
* Drive standardization and continuous improvement of environmental programs related to waste management, recycling, pollution prevention, resource conservation, and environmental reporting.
* Oversee environmental data collection, validation, and reporting, including emissions, waste, water, energy, and other sustainability metrics required for internal and external reporting.
* Act as the primary point of contact for environmental regulatory agencies, inspections, audits, notices, and compliance matters.

Health and Safety Leadership

* Establish and maintain EHS standards, policies, and procedures across all sites to reduce workplace risk and support consistent execution.
* Partner with business leaders to assess operational risk, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

* Monitor and report EHS performance metrics, including both leading and lagging indicators, and prepare regular updates for senior leadership.
* Lead significant incident investigation processes, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions are effectively implemented and broadly shared as appropriate.
* Oversee contractor, consultant, and third-party compliance with company EHS expectations, standards, and applicable regulations.
* Develop and support EHS training programs to strengthen site capability, regulatory awareness, and leadership accountability.

Sustainability and Management Systems

* Champion sustainability initiatives across North America, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, emissions reduction, environmental stewardship, and climate-related action planning.
* Support development and execution of environmental sustainability goals aligned with business priorities and corporate objectives.
* Drive the use of KPIs and management operating systems to measure EHS effectiveness, compliance status, and continuous improvement progress.

* Support and strengthen EHS management systems, governance processes, and audit readiness across the region.
* Collaborate with Dover Corporate EHS and internal stakeholders to align regional programs with corporate standards, reporting expectations, and strategic initiatives.

Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Partnership

* Lead, coach, and develop the EHS team by providing direction, training, technical guidance, and professional development support.
* Build strong partnerships with operations, legal, HR, quality, engineering, supply chain, and business leadership to integrate EHS requirements into day-to-day decision-making.
* Develop strategic plans in collaboration with business and functional leaders to ensure EHS priorities support both compliance and operational goals.

* Stay current on emerging environmental and EHS regulations, enforcement trends, and best practices, and proactively translate them into business action

Qualification Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field required.
* 15+ years of progressive EHS experience, with significant emphasis on environmental compliance and environmental program leadership in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
