Purpose The Jewish Board’s Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high‑quality, evidence‑based services to individuals and families. The staff use a culturally affirming, person‑centered approach to help clients develop skills and resources to improve functioning, instill hope, and strengthen resilience. Programs partner with community organizations to address health disparities while celebrating community strengths. Position Overview This position provides clinical services at an OMH‑licensed outpatient mental health clinic/CCBHC location. Interventions include evaluations; individual, group, or family therapy; case management; and crisis interventions. Must live within the United States and hold a valid NYS state license. Key Essential Functions Conduct comprehensive evaluations and intakes as required. Develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients, review and revise plans to reflect progress and changing needs. Provide individual, group, family, and crisis interventions. Liaise with families, schools, criminal justice, and community agencies to coordinate care. Provide linkages to embedded care coordination, SUD services, nursing, psychiatric and medical services as driven by screenings and client‑identified needs. Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and supervision. Maintain all documentation according to standards and time limits established by the Jewish Board, regulatory agencies, and funding sources. Maintain professional behaviors and ethical standards as established by licensing boards, professional associations, and the Jewish Board policies. Complete required agency training in evidence‑based models (e.g., CBT/MI) for continuing‑education credit. Perform other duties as assigned. Core Competencies Engage with clients and explore emotions, life events, and resources to overcome challenges. Skilled in clinical risk assessment and providing trauma‑informed, culturally sensitive interventions. Effective time‑management to ensure timely client care and documentation. Understand group dynamics and lead clinical group sessions effectively. Use clinical assessments to drive referrals. Maintain an active and steady caseload. Educational / Training Requirements Master’s degree in counseling, creative arts, or social work from an accredited program AND a New York State license in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC); Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT), or social work (LMSW/LCSW) required. Experience and Language Preferences Minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience required. Experience treating children or adolescents preferred. Fluency in a second language preferred. Computer Skills Experience documenting in electronic health records and using Microsoft Office. Experience with tele‑mental health platforms a plus. Manual Dexterity The candidate should be able to read paper and electronic documents and perform significant data entry into various computer programs. Work Environment / Physical Effort Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Fully remote also available. Schedule centrally managed. Late afternoons Monday through Friday 3 pm–8 pm, telehealth schedules only on Saturdays and Sundays 9 am–5 pm.
