About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Student Housing and Residential Life. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, vision, and management direction for the student housing program, which is designed to support the university's learning and student success-centered mission. This role involves overseeing a comprehensive housing program, including residence halls, apartment buildings, and guest housing units, with a focus on promoting a diverse and inclusive residential community. The Executive Director will be the chief housing officer, coordinating strategic planning, budgeting, and long-term financial forecasts, and ensuring the implementation of best practices in residential life programs and services. Applicants must have a Master's degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years of professional experience in student housing operations and residential life, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role. The role requires a strong understanding of student development theory, community development, and the impact of housing on student retention and graduation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in crisis management, human resource supervision, and facilities maintenance. They should also possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills, and the ability to develop successful partnerships with on and off-campus stakeholders. The Executive Director will be expected to ensure that the housing program is in compliance with various regulatory codes and to be actively involved in the university's strategic planning priorities.
