Mechanical Assembler PositionHamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a mechanical assembler position at a manufacturing company in Newtown CT. This is a temp-to-hire position. The hours are 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $20-$25 an hour.Job Responsibilities:Assemble electrical and mechanical components using work instructions, diagrams and basic drawingsSolder wires, terminals, connectors and small componentsCut, strip, route and terminate wires using wire strippers, wire cutters, lug crimpers and similar toolsInstall small components and hardware in tight or difficult-to-reach areas within an assemblyProperly use torque wrenches and common mechanical assembly toolsInspect completed assemblies for quality standardsReport damaged parts, assembly issues or documentation discrepanciesFollow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work areaWork independently while cooperating with production, engineering and quality personnelOther duties as assignedJob Requirements:Mechanical assembly and soldering experienceExperience using basic electrical and mechanical hand toolsAbility to read and follow assembly instructions, diagrams and basic drawingsStrong attention to detail, patience and manual dexterityAbility to use hands and fingers to install small components in tight or difficult-to-reach areas within an assemblyAbility to inspect completed work and identify basic workmanship issuesDependable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a teamAble to pass pre-employment screenings
