Senior Strategic Finance Manager

About the Role: As Senior Manager, Strategic Finance, you will own the financial models, forecasts, and reporting for Fetch’s Expanded Core business, which represents approximately 50% of Fetch’s total revenue. Your scope will span the full P&L—including revenue, cost of revenue, gross margin, headcount, and operating expenses—and directly shape how leadership allocates investment across the business. Working closely with Expanded Core leaders and the Data team, you will develop the underlying data infrastructure, evaluate performance, and translate results into a clear strategic narrative for senior leadership and investors. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Finance, this role has end-to-end financial ownership of one of Fetch’s largest business segments and will play a central role in how the company plans, forecasts, and communicates its performance.
This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US offices or remotely in the United States.
Role Responsibilities: 

• Own the Expanded Core P&L and its supporting financial models, including revenue, cost of revenue, gross margin, headcount, and operating expenses
• Build and maintain the SQL queries that support financial models, independently sourcing and validating the underlying data
• Identify data anomalies, diagnose root causes, and partner with the Data team to resolve issues at the source
• Lead Expanded Core forecasting during the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast cycles, including budget-vs-actual analysis
• Turn ad hoc questions from Finance and business partners into clear, defensible analysis
• Go beyond the numbers to surface insights to the broader team and cross-functional partners
• Partner closely with Expanded Core business leads on revenue, headcount, and opex decisions — surfacing the tradeoffs (e.g., headcount growth vs. margin, opex investment vs. near-term profitability) and building the ROI case for prioritized bets
• Translate Expanded Core economics into the story told to senior leadership and investors, including in exec forums (MBRs, Monthly Collective Reviews, Annual Planning, Board) 
• Mentor and provide guidance to more junior members of the Strategic Finance team

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking
• Strong financial modeling skills and advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency; comfortable building models from scratch
• SQL proficiency, able to self-serve within our data warehouse
• Data fluency to catch when something looks wrong and articulate it clearly so the Data team can fix the root cause
• Strong FP&A fundamentals: forecasting, variance analysis, and clear reporting, with experience owning a P&L segment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience presenting to senior leadership and/or investors, and the ability to translate complex data into clear narratives for senior audiences
• Comfort operating independently in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, including where the problem isn't fully defined 

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in a high-growth consumer tech, subscription, or marketplace company
• Experience in reward or loyalty based businesses
• Familiarity with BI/dashboarding tools; experience with Hex or Grafana a plus
• Experience with investor reporting or board-level financial presentations
