The Fresh Market Lead is responsible for creating and maintaining quality experiences for each guest that visits Eataly's Fresh Market counters. The Fresh Market Lead assists with the day-to-day operations of the Fresh departments, including Butcher, Fish, Salumi & Formaggi, Produce, and Fresh Pasta, ensuring quality control and optimal team performance. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.

• Supervises, trains and motivates the team to increase sales and efficiency
• Maintains stock levels and makes key decisions about stock control in partnership with the Fresh Market Manager, placing orders as needed
• Communicates with the main production kitchen and restaurants to ensure that all orders are fulfilled
• Assists with the management of the production schedule to achieve maximum efficiency
• Ensures Fresh counters and displays are visually appealing and merchandized effectively
• Communicates any technical or mechanical issues to the appropriate department
• Assists guests with product selection and shares knowledge of products
• Weighs, labels and packages products and completes food preparation in a timely manner
• Analyzes financial data and takes actions to improve efficiency and profitability of the department
• Supports with monthly inventory counts
• Ensures department consistently meets quality, health and safety standards
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience
• Experience with cured meats, artisan cheeses, butchering and fish mongering is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, time management and relationship-building skills
• Financial analysis skills are considered an asset
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Job Requirements:

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

Compensation:

• Compensation for this role is USD $22-$24.50 hourly
