The Pinon Health Center is an outpatient clinic and is associated with the Chinle Service Unit - Indian Health Service in the Heart of the Navajo Reservation - Northern Arizona. Pinon Health Center provides medical care to approximately 11,000 patients - the majority of which are Navajo, and many still speak the language. The Outpatient Clinic has a wide range of health services that include Community Health Nutrition, Counseling Services, Dental, Family Medicine, Health Promotion, Laboratory, Midwifery, Native Medicine, OB/GYN, Optometry, Patient Advocacy, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Public Health Nursing, Radiology, Speech Therapy, Navajo Nation Emergency Medical Services and Navajo Nation Health Education. Facility Address: Route 4, Pinon, AZ 86510ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Nurse provides direct patient care for outpatient patients of all ages.Perform dressing changes, assist with ambulation, and support activities of daily living.Administer prescribed medications and vaccines.The Registered Nurse performs respiratory treatments, oxygen therapy, and fit assistive devices like splints or durable medical equipment.Perform urinary catheter placements, collect tissue and biological samples, venipuncture for blood samples, and assist in setting up minor procedures using aseptic techniques.Initiate treatments, administer medications, and perform emergency and resuscitative measures.The Registered Nurse consults with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic regimens for patients.RequirementsEducation: Must have completed an accredited nursing program at the associate or bachelor's level.Licensure: Must possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.Certification: Valid American Heart Association certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, additional urgent care experience a plus.KurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
