Opportunity:


RN - MedSurg


Job Details:


• Float Pool position requiring flexibility to work anywhere in the hospital with MedSurg patients
• Shift times: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (nights) or 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (days)
• Weekend rotation every other weekend required
• Holiday expectations: may work 50% of holidays during contract
• Patient ratios: Days 1:4-6, Nights 1:6
• Minimum 2 years MedSurg experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• EPIC experience required
• Skills required: chest tubes, stable trach management, IV skills, port/central lines, CPAP/BiPAP/Airvo knowledge, foley insertion/care, feeding tubes, cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Titrating drips experience needed: Cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, argatroban
• Care for diverse patient population including oncology, surgical, general medical, ortho/neuro, and cardiac patients
• Will frequently float to ER Holding/Boarding areas
• One full shift orientation plus one 12-hour unit orientation
• Schedule made 4-6 weeks in advance, received 2 weeks prior
• Dress code: any solid color scrubs, professional appearance, no graphics or logos
• No on-call responsibilities
• First-time travelers accepted

This 101-licensed bed healthcare facility serves as a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, providing comprehensive medical services to the community. The facility features modern technology including EPIC electronic medical records, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems. The organization maintains a traveler-friendly culture with strong teamwork atmosphere and provides 24/7 support including hospitalist coverage, respiratory therapy, and phlebotomy services.
