As an Access Control Officer at a residential location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and help maintain a welcoming, secure environment for residents and guests. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Fri 04:00 PM - 12:15 AM Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor and manage access to the residential location by verifying authorization, greeting guests, and maintaining accurate visitor and vehicle entry records. Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Communicate professionally with residents, property staff, and emergency responders while documenting incidents and daily activities in accordance with site requirements. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least two years of security-related experience. A guard card or license is preferred. Experience with alarm panels is preferred. A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
