Join our enjoyable hospitality team as a Hotel Houseperson working evening shifts ! In this vital role, you will be the backbone of maintaining a pristine, welcoming environment for our guests. Your energetic approach to cleaning, floor care, custodial tasks and guest services will ensure our hotel remains spotless and inviting. The SpringHill Suites by Marriott BHAM Colonnade Grandview is a fine 120 All-Suite Hotel. Located immediately off Exit #19 on I-459 and Hwy #280, the hotel location makes an easy and simple presence and commute. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of public areas, hallways, stairwells, and service corridors to uphold cleanliness standards. Care for floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, polishing, and vacuuming to maintain their appearance and safety. Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and ensure all cleaning equipment is properly stored and maintained. Support housekeeping management by executing assigned tasks efficiently and adhering to safety protocols. Deliver amenities as requested by hotel guests Assist in Back of House tasks as needed including light laundry, organize shelves and closets, & employee areas Qualifications Prior experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within a hotel or hospitality setting is highly desirable. including Strong knowledge of floor care techniques sweeping, mopping, & Marriott cleaning methods. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and perform cleaning tasks over five-hour shift Report to work as schedule from at least 5 -10pm or 6-11pm to support the guests and the Front Desk team as needed for 2-3 evenings each week including some weekends A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards and supporting hotel team goals.
