Empower high school students to reach their fullest potential as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic educational setting located near Fremont, CA. This full-time, contract position spans the entire 22/23 school year with a consistent schedule—37.5 hours per week—offering stability and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with teens. The role is dedicated to onsite therapy services at a local high school, allowing you to directly collaborate with educators, students, and families each day.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license for California
• Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
• Competence in adapting OT interventions for adolescents
• Strong communication and collaborative skills with families, staff, and students
• Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and ability levels
• Flexibility to adjust to changing caseload needs

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students and develop appropriate therapy goals
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to high school students
• Maintain thorough, HIPAA-compliant documentation and progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team activities
• Liaise with teachers, counselors, and families to support student progress
• Stay current on best practices in school OT and evidence-based interventions
