This full-time, remote position allows you to provide specialized mental health care via telehealth to individuals impacted by various forms of trauma. Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing mental health professionals the flexibility to work from home while maintaining consistent telehealth services to our patients. We utilize state-of-the-art technology and electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate seamless communication among team members and patients. While the core working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some schedule flexibility may be necessary based on patient needs and overall case management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, carefully evaluating patients’ trauma histories to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Create and implement individualized treatment protocols that promote recovery and resilience, using an evidence-based therapeutic approach.
• Deliver specialized therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing support and guidance as patients process trauma and build effective coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated patient care and continuity of services.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, effectively managing high-stress situations.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and community resources available for additional support.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of patient interactions, adhering to professional legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities, enhancing skills in trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed of the latest research, developments, and best practices in the domain of trauma therapy to ensure the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working predominantly with individuals who have experienced trauma, including survivors of domestic violence, childhood abuse, and complex PTSD. Our patient population is diverse, requiring sensitivity to different backgrounds, cultures, and personal experiences. The role emphasizes providing trauma-informed care, ensuring every individual's unique healing process is respected and supported.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD in New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a relevant mental health setting is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and applicable trauma-informed treatment practices.
• Proven experience delivering trauma-focused therapies, including individual and group sessions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental attitude.
• Capacity to remain calm and composed during high-stress interactions.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and other related technology tools is essential.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team framework, drawing on a diverse skill set to enhance patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience specifically in trauma therapy, including working with various evidence-based modalities, is highly preferred. A background in community mental health settings or outpatient services may provide additional advantages in navigating our patient care approach.

Compensation and Benefits
