Job Description
The Quality Control Specialist I is an enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic who performs new account documentation reviews to make sure the account styling and account documentation are in compliance with federal laws and regulations and state laws.
Essential duties include:
- Providing support and guidance to the banking center staff at all levels regarding routine and complex new accounts questions and business account documentation requirements
- Performing new and revised account documentation reviews to make sure the account styling and account documentation are in compliance with documentation requirements
- Performing corrections and updates at the account and CIF level
- Recording QCD CIF/Account Incidents in 360View
- Reviewing Debit Cards orders and assisting with debit card tracking and delivery
- Verifying CD interest checks are issued and uploaded correctly into the Bank's core SilverLake processing system
- Verifying Debit Card Applications
- Reviewing Opening Act (online) accounts and contacting customers as necessary
- Participating in job specific training and other various Bank training programs, as necessary
- Maintaining current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policy
- Maintaining current knowledge and complying with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operations
- Maintaining current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. - High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
- One year of prior banking experience with New Accounts (two years is preferred)
- Knowledge of JHA SilverLake is preferred
- Good verbal and written communication, organizational and customer relations skills
- Attention to detail and mental concentration for accurately performing tasks and handling frequent interruptions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer information and compliance with privacy laws
- Strong computer skills, including spreadsheet and word processing software
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and occasional Saturdays
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired
This position reports to the Quality Control Supervisor and does not oversee other positions.

In all situations, employees must ensure that their actions fully comply with all federal banking laws and regulations, including internal bank policies and procedures. Failure to adhere to these requirements will be grounds for disciplinary action, including probation and possible termination.
